What is the full form of UPS Air Cargo? ›

United Parcel Service Co., herein referred to as UPS, engages in air transportation of containerized and palletized cargo between selected airports in UPS Air Cargo.

Our all-points international air hub is located in Louisville, KY, with other regional hubs located in strategic cities across the U.S. We cover the rest of the world, as well, by operating international air hubs in Miami, Hamilton, Cologne, Taipei, and Shenzhen, China.

Air Freight (HAWB) Tracking. The House Air Waybill (HAWB) tracking is a tool which is used to track your air freight or air cargo consignment by using your HAWB number.

Air cargo is another term for air freight. It is the carriage or the transportation of goods through an air carrier. Transport services via air are the most valuable when it comes to moving express shipments around the globe and it consists of air mail, air freight and air express.

House Airway Bill is issued by the forwarder on a natural form of an air way bill. The HAWB is signed by the freight forwarder or the forwarding company. The House Airway Bill may or may not follow the IATA rules.

Air cargo tracking. To track your air cargo, visit the airline website's track shipments section and input your Airway Bill (AWB) number to get details of the cargo's air route, a tracking report, status update, and estimated time of arrival for your shipment.

Note: Air waybills are actually a type of bill of lading; however, both are discussed as the two main types of transport documents. There are more BOL types, but since the order bill of lading is the most common, we will refer primarily to that BOL type in this guide.

How long does freight shipping take? Freight shipping transit time is impacted by factors including distance, shipping mode, route, and season. In very rough estimates: express can take as little as 1-3 days, air freight is typically 5-10 days, and sea shipping can range anywhere from 20-45 days or more.

Can anyone use air cargo? ›

You must be a known shipper to ship your goods with us, but there are two exceptions — transporting pets (or Live Animals) and documents weighing less than 16 ounces. Otherwise, you need to have a Precise Account Locator — or PAL — to ship with us.
