Location and Uses[]
Nutcakes are a kind of Cake that can be made by Cooking either an Acorn or a Chickaloo Tree Nut together with Tabantha Wheat, Cane Sugar, and Goat Butter. Eating them will restore some of Link's Hearts to his Life Gauge. These Cakes have a pleasant texture and a simple sweetness, both of which come from the use of nuts.[1]
At The Slippery Falcon in Rito Village, Link can find Misa's Recipe Book, which contains a recipe for Nutcake. Misa first instructs the reader to purchase Tabantha Wheat, Goat Butter, and Cane Sugar from her General Store.[2] She then says to throw them into a Cooking Pot with nuts of one's choice, though she prefers Acorns.[3]
Link can add a fifth ingredient when making Nutcake, which can result in the following variations:

- Tough Nutcake:[11] Made by adding a tough ingredient. They can be eaten to increase Link's defensive abilities.[11]
- Sneaky Nutcake:[12] Made by adding a sneaky ingredient. Eating these Cakes will provide a boost to Link's Stealth.[12]
- Chilly Nutcake:[13] Made by adding a chilly ingredient. When eaten, Link will gain one level of Heat Resistance.[13]
