The Fruitcake is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a curative item that restores Link's health with some Heart Containers. Link can prepare it by cooking from Apple, Wildberry, Tabantha Wheat and Cane Sugar. He can also randomly obtained it from rescued travelers.

"The Royal Family's Secret Recipe #1 The Princess's Favorite: Fruitcake Boil any two (or) more pieces of fruit with Tabantha wheat and cane sugar for a good while. Eating this dish will apparently clear your head and help you focus on things such as ancient technology research."
Castle Library Book

In Hyrule Castle Library, there is a Castle Library Book on a table located on the bottom floor containing one of the Royal Family of Hyrule's Secret Recipes which reveals that Fruitcake is a favorite of Princess Zelda and according to the book eating it will apparently clear one's head and help one focus on things such as Ancient technology research. Along with Monster Cake, Fruitcake is one of the recipes Link can make for Gotter at the Riverside Stable during the "A Royal Recipe" Side Quest in which Gotter asks Link to find the royal recipes in the Hyrule Castle Library and make one of them. Link can make either recipe to complete the quest, causing Gotter to reward Link with a Silver Rupee. Link can make the other dish and give it to Gotter to receive another Silver Rupee.
