noodle, a cooked egg-and-flour paste prominent in European and Asian cuisine, generally distinguished from pasta by its elongated ribbonlike form. Noodles are commonly used to add body and flavour to broth soups. They are commonly boiled or sautéed and served with sauces and meats or baked in casseroles.
Asian noodles are made primarily from starch ingredients other than flour, although the recipes for some Asian pan-fried and stir-fried dishes allow the substitution of wheat-flour noodles for the Chinese mein. Noodles made from rice flour or the starch of the mung bean are softened in water and then boiled and drained in preparation for being fried or added to soups.
Noodles are a type of food made from unleavened dough which is either rolled flat and cut, stretched, or extruded, into long strips or strings. Noodles are a staple food in many cultures and made into a variety of shapes. The most common noodles are either those derived from Chinese cuisine or Italian cuisine.
Boil 6 cups water in a large pot or a deep pan and bring it to boil over medium flame. When it comes to rolling boil, add dried noodles, 1/2 tablespoon oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Boil until noodles are soft, it will take around 4-5 minutes. Stir occasionally in between.
Preparation tips. Add the noodles to boiling water and cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse and drain. Add the other ingredients of your recipe to the noodles, stir well and serve.

A vast majority of instant noodles are low in calories, but are also low in fibre and protein. They are also notorious for being high in fat, carbohydrates, and sodium. Cook the Pasta – Cook the pasta according to package directions, stirring occasionally, until al dente or softer depending on the desired texture. To Serve – Drain the pasta. Some recipes call for saving the pasta water to add to the sauce. Toss the pasta with the desired sauce.
Put the dried noodles in a container and close the lid. Let the hot water cook your noodles for about 5–15 minutes and when it's done (don't let it to be soggy) strain the noodles by opening a small gap between the lid and the container. You should have your noodles ready now.
