Who is Tiffany Gomas? Woman behind viral 'that motherf****r's not real' American Airlines meltdown r (2024)

DALLAS, TEXAS: The woman responsible for the startling airplane meltdown, featuring the viral exclamation "that motherf***er back there is not real," has been disclosed as Tiffany Gomas, a 38-year-old marketing executive residing in Dallas. Gomas' erratic behavior reportedly erupted from a disagreement with her traveling companions during a flight on July 2, marked as American Airlines Flight 1009 from Fort Worth to Orlando, Florida. According to police records, she alleged that her relatives had pilfered her AirPods, which initiated her outburst.

The police document states, "The female then started claiming the aircraft was not safe and did not want the aircraft to leave due to her believing it would not make it to its destination. Due to the statements the flight attendants felt the aircraft needed to be rescreened. The airline manager explained that the passenger was denied boarding and they wanted her escorted to the public side." "TSA personnel arrived at the scene to conduct a full rescreening of the aircraft."

Gomas's safety concerns led to escalation and removal

As Gomas' actions escalated, she began to proclaim that the aircraft was unsafe and incapable of reaching its intended destination. Her refusal to leave the plane resulted in her removal by American Airlines staff, detailed in an exposé by journalist Bree A Dail on Substack and initially reported by the New York Post. The police documents outline Gomas's claims regarding the aircraft's safety and reluctance to allow it to depart. This prompted a rescreening of the aircraft as a precaution, with TSA personnel intervening to conduct a thorough inspection. Ultimately, Gomas was escorted to the non-secure airport area but attempted multiple re-entries through TSA screening.

When officials from the Dallas-Fort Worth Department of Public Safety arrived, Gomas, described as 'extremely distraught,' declined interaction and made attempts to re-board the plane. Following her actions, she was traced to a terminal curb while awaiting an Uber. Gomas received a ticket for a criminal trespass notice, although she refused to sign it, leading to her non-arrest.

Tiffany Gomas's professional background includes being recognized as a 'rising star' in 2017 during her tenure as Vice President of Client Services at Elevate Brand Marketing. She holds a degree from Oklahoma State University and resides in a $2 million residence in a Lakewood neighborhood, according to public records. Gomas also founded a marketing firm in Dallas, known as Uppercut Marketing.

The incident piqued widespread online interest, leaving many curious about the meaning behind Gomas' perplexing remarks during her meltdown. TikTok footage circulated, capturing her agitated state aboard the plane as she vocalized her convictions about an entity that "wasn't real."

"I'm telling you, I'm getting the f*** off and there's a reason why I'm getting the f*** off and everyone can either believe it or they can not believe it," the woman is heard saying as she walks to the front of the plane. "I don't give two f****, but I am telling you right now - that m*****f***** back there is NOT real," she added, indicating toward the back of the plane. "And you can sit on this plane and you can die with them or not. I'm not going to."

'Hope you enjoyed your little stunt'

Comedian Carrot Top, who witnessed the episode, described the woman as a "f**king nutjob" and recounted the ordeal on social media. He revealed that Gomas' anger stemmed from losing her earbud, while he speculated about her intent behind the disturbance. Carrot Top humorously expressed his hopes that she enjoyed her "little stunt," even as he lamented missing the fireworks due to the incident.

"The f–king nutjob just lost her mind in front of the whole plane," he said.

Carrot Top had previously shared the incident on social media, writing: "I hope she's happy!!! We're all stuck in Dallas now because of her." He said the woman was upset because she 'lost her earbud,' but did not elaborate.

"I hope you're having a relaxing evening behind bars in Dallas Texas and hope you enjoyed your little stunt," the comedian said on Instagram.

"Five hours later we're here in Orlando," Carrot Top added. "I missed the fireworks and everything tonight."
