What to Wear to a Summer Wedding for Women Over 50 – Sundresses

This dress looks neon in this photo, but it’s not that bright. I had to lighten the photo because of the dark shadows, which made the dress almost glow. Lol! It is a pretty fuchsia, which is perfect for summer. If you need something with sleeves, keep scrolling because I’ve got several down below. Because I am not chesty, the top is a little big on me, but the rest of the dress fits great.

This adorable dress is also a bright pink, but the white background tones it down. I love the deep V-neck line and the flutter sleeves. The entire dress has a romantic vibe, which is perfect for a summer wedding. I’m wearing a large, and it fits me perfectly.

What to Wear to a Summer Wedding for Women Over 50 – Covering Upper Arms

The dress has a V-neckline with small feminine ruffles that draw attention to your face. It is fitted at the waist and flows outward, which helps to create the illusion of a smaller waist. Adding a jacket, cardigan, or this beautiful butterfly ruana will hide your upper arms and add a small amount of warmth.

I love a good maxi dress! They are so comfortable to wear and can be dressed up or down. One of my favorite patterns to wear is floral. Florals tend to hide a lot of flaws that a solid color might not—and I have a lot of flaws, lol. I love how feminine this dress looks, and it would be perfect for Mother’s Day or other events such as graduations.

This Vera WangV-Neck Tiered Maxi Dressis a jaw-dropper! People will stare at you in awe when you walk into the room with this on. It is flowy, it is a gorgeous color, and it is flattering. This dress has long sleeves for those who don’t like to show their arms, and it would be perfect for an evening summer wedding.

Summer weddings are known for being hot, especially if the venue is outdoors. I love how the sheer fabric of this dress keeps you cool but also keeps you modest and concealed. This is especially a great choice if you are self-conscious about your arms or legs being exposed. This quilted flap crossbody bag looks like so many expensive designer bags but for a fraction of the price. It has plenty of room to bring your phone, lipstick, keys, and tissues to the wedding, and it looks so chic and elegant! You’ll notice that I wore these adorable two strap wedges with every dress in this post because they truly go with everything. The straps are transparent, which is very on-trend these days, but they also are available in black, tan, and white. If you don’t love heels, all of today’s dresses will look great with a pair of dressy sandals like these.

This blue and white gingham midi dress with puff sleeves is a charming choice for a summer wedding. The unique puff sleeves bring a hint of femininity, and the v neck is perfect for showing off your favorite necklace. This is a dress you can wear again and again whether dressed up with heels and statement accessories for your upcoming wedding or paired with sandals for a casual daytime look. I paired it with this straw handbag, which is one of my favorites for this summer!

This flowy lace tiered midi dress is an excellent choice for a summer wedding for women of all ages. The gorgeous lace detailing adds an elegant touch, while the tiered design creates a breezy silhouette. The lightweight fabric allows for comfortable movement and breathability, making it ideal for outdoor or warm-weather celebrations. I selected light blue, but it comes in 17 colors, so you can choose the perfect shade to compliment your complexion, hair, or wedding colors. My favorite part of this outfit is this adorable bucket bag, is sold out, but I found one that is similar. It’s not super practical for day-to-day, but it is the perfect size for an event or going to dinner!

Isn’t this short sleeve midi dress so cute? Wearing a bright color like pink at a summer wedding is an easy way to show your personality and exude confidence and cheer. The tiered design adds movement, creating a playful and flirty look. If you love this dress but don’t love pink, check out all of the other colors it is available in. I love the sage, violet, and peaco*ck! I wanted to accentuate my waist a little, so I added one of my go-to woven belts. They come in a pack of four, and they are under $22. I also styled it with this beautiful straw bag that can be carried as a shoulder bag, crossbody, wristlet, or clutch.

If you are stuck on what to wear to a summer wedding for women over 50, a wrap dress is always a fantastic choice, as the wrap style will flatter your figure. They also provide an adjustable fit depending on how tight your ties are tied, which helps you stay comfortable throughout the wedding. I thought this floral print was so pretty, especially for summer and fall. Plus, earrings, a bracelet stack, or a necklace with touches of turquoise or orange would be such a cute touch!

Isn’t this pretty? I love the flowy, tiered layers. The halter neck and back tie offer a splash of sophistication, and for you gurls who hate showing your arms, never fear! Put a pretty cropped cardigan or scarf around you shoulders and seize the day! Available in a variety of colors like classic Navy, vibrant Red, and soft Mint, this dress would pair nicely with sandals or wedges.

I don’t know what it is about this dress, but I think it’s so lovely! It looks like she’s wearing art! This would be very flattering on a ton of people. The V-neck and high waist make it a great option for Apple shape gurls. Plus, it’s made from a lightweight, breathable polyester, so you’ll be comfortable all day long. Just slip it on, and you’re ready to catch the bouquet and compliments!

Speaking of my apple-shaped gurls, they tend to have thinner legs. Show them off! This charming dress features a beautiful floral print and a flattering neckline, complete with semi-sheer long peasant sleeves. Of course, if you don’t love the print, there are others at the link. The elastic waist means a comfortable fit even if you stuff yourself at the reception, lol. You can dress it up further with a nice belt and some pretty heels. It will look much more expensive than it really is.

If this dress looks familiar, it’s because you’ve seen me wear it in lavender!

You know I love details, and I think these flowy sleeves are darling. The tiered ruffles are very on-trend. This dress has an elastic waistline, and it’s plenty roomy. Being 100% rayon, it feels lovely, and the best part is that it is very affordable!

Wedding season is upon us, and stressing about what to wear is the worst. I hope you’ve found something in this post to love!
