It has been many years since I first read the "Diary of Anne Frank". I was 12 years old; no one told me that she had not survived the war and I was devastated as I came to the conclusion of the book.

I don't think that I've ever recovered from the shock and horror of it ~ balanced, as it was, against the incredible framework of her words.

In reviewing this website, today, tears came to my eyes. I suddenly realized that I've been running from this remembered shock since I was 12 ... when, in fact, I must honour her life and not "hide".

I'm a historian. Anne Frank continues to teach and to touch, through her always living words.

The diary of Anne Frank was a touching, moving story about a young girl and her struggles during the time where Natzi soliders invaded their homes. We can learn a lot from this girl and how she stayed positive during the harsh and cruel times. We can relate to her by living in this harsh world known to mankind as middle school. We hide from the bullies and learn to live with the people we work with and have to survive middle school with. World War II was a tragedic time. We can remember what Anne, and many others, had to lose including family, friends, and their lives. We can help make sure that a thing like World War II never happens again by excepting people for who they are, and not discriminating them for their physical apperence and their religon. This horrible and ridiculous happening shows us to be grateful for what we are, and what we have, because some of us are not as fortunate as we are. And all of us are just lucky enough to be alive, because during the time of the Hollocaust, millions of people lost their lives for being innocent. Anne was amazing in the fact that she kept her spirits high, and that she showed everyone that even in the roughest times, anyone can find something happy in the world. When Hanukkah came everybody except Anne thought it would be a Hanukkah without presents, but Anne gave everybody hand-made presents. She showed everyone that even in the darkest of times you can find the silver lining. Anne was always there to comfort others when they needed it the most, and that is what we loved the most about the book. Anyone, of any age, could learn to love the book, as they read it. It is such a shame that Anne died in a concentration camp. It would have been great to have her around, but if she had survived we might not have been able to read this inspirational story of hope, courage, endurance, and love.

The " Diary of Anne Frank," was a very interesting and touching story. Anne, being around my age, was easy to relate to. Her diary captured her personality very well and her thoughts were understandable. When I read the book, I felt myself getting pulled into the story. I just could'nt stop reading, and was very interested in what was going to happen. Anne was able to write and fill the readers will imense emotions and a flash of the the feelings of Jews. I was able to take a glance at the Jew's feelings about hiding. The diary made the readers feel bad about racism and how badly the Jews felt. One of the parts I felt really connected to Anne was where she had an internal conflict, about having a "Bad Anne" and a "Good Anne". Sometimes I feel there are two parts of me and I get confused like Anne. After reading this book I felt that the Jews had a very unfortunate experience and that people should not look at the religion of a person, but by the inside. I was deeply surprised how Anne was able to write out her feelings in the diary, and make a connection with others. When I tried to write a diary, I was unable to describe what happened and my feelings. Anne's diary however included a variety of information, and indeed she became a great writer in a way she never thought she would become.

The book, The Diary of Anne Frank, is a book about the holocaust and the survival and hiding of the Franks. At first, I could not believe that this was a true story. It was very unfair how the Jews were treated by the Germans and Europe during the holocaust. I could not imagine how horrible this was. This story is not like the other stories that I am used to reading. In my opinion, the book was not a very exciting one, but one of great importance. It shows the holocaust through the eyes of a young girl, Anne Frank. I gained a lot of knowledge of World War 2 by reading this book. It is one of the best books about the holocaust ever published.

The Diary of Anne Frank was a very moving book. i was almost on the verge of tears by the time I finished reading it. I felt really depressed reading about all the cruelty the Jewish had to face during the Nazi invasion. What surprised me the most was how brave everyone, especially Anne, was while the Franks, Van Daans, and Dussel were in hiding. they had to take the most necessary precautions, which made everyone impatient. I think it was very kind of Mr. Kraler and Miep to help them. I hope everyone who reads the book will learn a bit from it.

The thoughts I have about the diary of Anne Frank inspired many curious minds about the Holocast. It taught many children about how harsh life could be. Also the book told children to continue their life to the fullest, when they're down. The book taught me that staying positive during hard periods of time can make things better than acting negative. The impact was enough to move our spirits in the class. It effected many hearts and minds. This book /play is surely the grooviest thing on our planet!

The Diary of Anne Frank really inspired me about what a person can achieve if they really try to and have their determination to. I can think of Anne of a really alive girl that can make any situation seem brighter and make people happier about their like. it really shows me ofsome hardships that people before faced and shows me that the tiny problems we have now to them seem like nothing with the problems they have to face. I also feel sorry for Anne for having to keep al her anger hidden and not being able to eat enough food to healthily support herself like chicken. Peter is evidentally supported by Anne because he survived the "death march" since Anne gave him a reason to try succeed in life.

The Diary of Anne Frank was an interesting book that allowed me to picture what was actually going on in the warehouse. The Diary was able to create a wonderful memory of what I had read in the book and had really inspired me. It really amazed me by how Anne was able to change Peter mentally. When Peter was changed mentally, he was kind of able to change himself physically, and that had really astounded me.

I can't imagine being in Anne's place during World War 2. It just seems too out of the ordinary in our almost perfect lives. The Nazis were horrible! I admire Anne for continuing to believe that all people are truly good at heart-- even after being forced into hiding. I wonder what Anne would have written when she was at camp...
