Richard Dean Anderson, now 65, was spotted out and about in Malibu, California, on Wednesday grabbing a few essentials.

And though he’s spread out a bit - it comes to us all - he looked to be most content, sporting a badger-ey hair-do and a bristling grey tache.
The actor, director and sometime composer – he’s used to be a jazz musician – is semi-retired these days, his last major project being the TV series Stargate SG-1, in which he played Lieutenant General Jack O'Neill.

He also reprised his role in later series Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe.
Now settled in Malibu, he helped design and build his own house - which featured in Architectural Digest – and is a single dad to his 16-year-old daughter Wylie Anderson.
But back in the 80s, Anderson was legendary for his resourceful special agent character who never carried a gun – rather his ever-present pen knife – and made The A-Team’s use of blow torches and sheet metal look distinctly amateur.
He played MacGyver, which was produced by Henry Winkler, through seven seasons and 139 episodes from 1985 to 1992.
