Less than a year after its concept was revealed and only five months after the start of its on-track testing programme,
the PEUGEOT TotalEnergies team has unveiled its race car:the PEUGEOT 9X8, a 4-wheel drive Hybrid hypercar.
The car made its competitive début at Monza, in the fourth round of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Le Mans 24h 2023: the countdown is on for PEUGEOT.

The track tests carried out over the last few monthson five

Capgemini (Artificial Intelligence) and PEUGEOT Sport
are working together tooptimise the efficiency of the 9X8 -
in particular energy management, during both acceleration and regeneration.

POWERTRAIN
A 2.6-litre, twin-turbocharged 520 kW V6 delivers power to the rear wheels, and two 200 kW electric motors drive the front wheels.
BATTERY
The 900 V high voltage battery has been co-developed with TotalEnergies / Saft. Marelli is engineering and supplying a specific high performance electric motor and silicon carbide inverter, which make up the front axle electric drive system.
