The holiday season is such a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. The parks and hotels are decorated so beautifully, specialty treats abound, and my favorite after-hours event, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, usually takes place on select nights in Magic Kingdom Park. Being at the Most Magical Place on Earth during the Most Wonderful Time of the Year really gets you into the holiday spirit. In 2023, a brand-new after-hours event, Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney's Hollywood Studios, will be taking place. It is usually recommended that once you know the dates you'd like to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, you should book your vacation package. This is especially true for peak travel times like the holiday season. Disney Resorts Collection Hotels fill up very quickly during these times so if you want to have the best selection, it is recommended you book right away. Luckily, you can book your December 2024 visit right now!
Please note that if you book a vacation package through the Walt Disney World Resort website, you usually put down a deposit and can cancel or modify your package if done more than 30 days before your arrival date without penalty. So if you book now and need to cancel or make changes before that date, you are usually able to do so. Please keep in mind that policies are subject to change and if you are booking just a hotel room or just tickets, different policies apply. Dana, I know that December 2024 seems far off in the future, but planning can be its own adventure. Once booked, sit down and plan out what advanced dining reservations you'd like to make, what specialty entertainment you'd like to enjoy, and what holiday memories you are going to treasure for years to come.
