Homefree Nut-Free Cookies To Be Offered at Check-In by DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels (2024)

WINDHAM, N.H., Sept. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --Homefree®, "treats you can trust," is pleased to announce that the DoubleTree by Hilton hotels are now offering Homefree® nut-free Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies at guest check-in as a nut-free alternative to their iconic Chocolate Chip Cookies.

The DoubleTree has long welcomed guests with its warm chocolate chip cookies. But these cookies include walnuts. By adding Homefree cookies, DoubleTree will allow guests with nut allergies to enjoy a delicious welcome treat, too.

Nut allergies can be unpredictable and life-threatening. According to the Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), even small amounts of nuts can cause severe reactions.

The DoubleTree selected Homefree crunchy Chocolate Chip Mini Cookies as its alternate cookie because Homefree cookies taste great, and because Homefree is a leader in allergen-related safety and in food quality and safety more generally. Further, Homefree cookies go beyond including guests with nut allergies, by meeting the needs of guests with many other special diets as well.

All Homefree cookies are made in Homefree's dedicated facility free of peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, dairy, wheat and gluten, using carefully sourced and allergen tested ingredients. The cookies are vegan, kosher pareve, non-GMO verified, and contain nothing artificial. Homefree is certified by Safe Quality Food (SQF) level 3 for outstanding food quality and safety practices. Homefree is a certified Women Owned Business, and a certified B Corporation for a strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Jill Robbins, founder and President of Homefree, and parent of a child with multiple food allergies, appreciates the importance of this progressive DoubleTree initiative: "When we decided to manufacture nut-free cookies, one of our goals was to make it easy for hotels to include guests with nut and other food allergies. My whole family can now enjoy a DoubleTree welcome treat! I feel truly appreciative to DoubleTree and the Hilton for making this a reality."

Homefree offers cookies in Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, Lemon Burst, Chocolate Mint, Ginger Snap, and holiday Sugar cookies. Accolades include a prestigious foodservice Food & Beverage Product Innovations Award from the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show, "Recommended School Snack" on the Today show, and "Best Gluten Free Cookies" by the Good Housekeeping Research Institute. The cookies are distributed nationally to retail and foodservice establishments. Visit www.homefreetreats.com.
