It was a very busy day yesterday here at Downdetector HQ with the AT&T nationwide outage. With millions of people and major news outlets relying on our data to understand what was happening, particularly in the early hours, we strived to provide the most accurate information. To help with this, we provided additional context for people reporting on wireless carriers other than AT&T, so that they could consider that the issue they were experiencing was actually related to AT&T’s issues. I’m privileged to be looking after this brilliant platform and will continue ensuring it remains the most resilient and reliable solution for Service Disruption Management across all services with an online presence. #downdetector #ookla #mwc24

In light of the recent AT&T outage, I wanted to take a moment to share some insights on what to do in case of a network outage and how to be prepared.1. In case of an emergency, have a landline or VoIP line from a different provider to ensure you're not completely cut off from communication.2. Compile a list of friends or family members who live nearby and use different mobile providers in case you need to reach out for help during an outage.3. Ensure that everyone in your household knows what to do in an emergency where they don't have access to their phones.4. Stay informed about regulatory changes regarding landline services. Recent events underscore the importance of having alternative communication options.Remember, any service provider can experience outages for various reasons. Having a plan in place and being prepared for such situations is key to staying connected during emergencies. Here's more information about the incident: https://loom.ly/xVN2ixc#phoneserviceprovider #at&t #networkoutage

Big US outage for ATT wireless. I am *assuming* either 1. A major wave core at ATT in a major carrier hotel is down, 2. Major long-haul route cut or error, or 3. Error in major ATT database not allowing mobile SIM or NPA NXX to register?#outage #downtime #networkinfrastructure
