  • Volume of Brick Masonry = Length (m) x Depth (m) x Wall Thickness

  • Brick Size = Brick Length x Brick Width x Brick Height

  • No. of Bricks = Volume of Brick Masonry/Volume of one Brick

  • Actual Volume of Bricks Mortar = No. of Bricks x Volume of Brick Without Mortar

  • Quantity of Mortar = Volume of Brick Masonry - Actually Volume of Bricks Without Mortar

Where

  • The total area is measured in m3 or cubic metres and ft3 or cubic feet.

  • Here, the ratio is 1:5, meaning that 1 part is cement and 5 part is sand. The sum of the cement and sand is six.

  • The volume of bricks with cement and sand is 0.002.

  • 0.0015 volume of brick made only of sand and cement.

  • The capacity of a single cement bag is 0.035.

  • Volume conversion from m3 to kg is 1500.

  • Size or length and breadth is in metres or centimetres.

Note that 1 m3 = 35.3147 ft3
