How do I contact Ancestry support? ›

To amplify our impact in the community, we have reallocated our resources to focus on these new technologies and have made the difficult decision to discontinue the World Archives Project.

Scroll to the bottom of your Settings page and click Delete next to Delete DNA Test Results And Revoke Consent to Processing. To permanently delete your AncestryDNA results, enter your password and click Delete Test Results and Revoke Consent.

To report a problem from a record detail page, click Add or update information or Report a problem and follow the steps to submit your correction. To report an error from a record image, click the tools icon on the right side of the page and select Report problems, then follow the steps to submit your correction.

In the top-right corner of their profile page, click Tools and select Member connect. On the Member Connect page, click the Suggested Connections tab. You'll see a list of people who likely have the same person in their trees. To save a tree on the list, click Connect.

While viewing their tree, click their name/username to visit their member profile. Then, on the left side of their profile, under their name/username, click "Message" to send them a message. How do I contact a DNA match? From your list of matches, click on the name/username of a match you want to send a message to.

If you don't know your password, see Resetting a Forgotten Password. If you've reset your password and your new password isn't working, clear your cache and cookies and try again. For help with verification codes, select the company whose code you're having trouble with: Ancestry.

To provide our users with the greatest protection under the law, we require all government agencies seeking access to Ancestry customers' data to follow a valid legal process. We do not allow law enforcement to use the Services to investigate crimes or to identify human remains.

Will I lose my tree if I cancel Ancestry? ›

Family trees

After you delete your account, all shared trees will be removed from Ancestry. No one you shared your trees with will be able to access or see your trees after you delete them.

Accuracy is very high when it comes to reading each of the hundreds of thousands of positions (or markers) in your DNA. With current technology, AncestryDNA ^® has, on average, an accuracy rate of over 99 percent for each marker tested.

If there's no Cancel membership link on your Account settings page, try signing out, then signing back in. If that doesn't work, contact us to find the account you're being billed on.

If your subscription did not begin with a free trial, during the first 14 days of your first subscription term you may either (1) cancel immediately for a full refund and immediate loss of access, or (2) cancel at the end of your current subscription, with no refund.

If you're seeing error messages, display problems, or broken buttons or links, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies.
