Are vegan sausages healthy?
The truth is, probably not. Plant-based sausages sold in supermarkets are likely to have just as much salt as their meat counterparts, so they’re unlikely to make it onto a list of health-foods.

However, vegan sausages are likely to have considerably less saturated fat making them a healthier option overall. If they happen to have a vegetable base to them, then all the better too!

If they’re labelled as low-salt then they’re probably your best bet.
There are a few options that are definitely the better choice if we’re making a health-lead decision in the supermarket aisles; but where we can see the most change is in how we cook them.
Baking or grilling your plant-based sausages with no oil will be the best choice with frying being the least healthy option.
